Rain Rain Go and Play (lol)

This image was captured during a break from the crazy rain we had in Calif (Dec 2010) I found it odd to see such a bright colored plastic slide out during the rain. Minutes after taking the photograph two girls (apparently still hung-over) came out and began laughing at me. When I asked, "Whats up with the slide?" they continued to laugh and said, " we though it would be fun to slip and slide during the rain" As they drug the slide in (wet and all) the continued, " we are so hung-over... and so late for work"

Lesson learned..... there is always time to play, be responsible and think about the consequences

Waiting.....

Sometimes we must sit and wait.

I have past this building many time (1st/Orange) and often when I am w/o my camera the little guy (center window) is either barking or howling. This time I caught him and as I approached he barked yet once I pulled out my camera all the barking stopped and we connected.

Be patience with your projects or thing you want to shoot, it will happen as it is suppose to happen and when all parties are ready.

6 days until the show

Just browsing through some images captured while on a trip to Boston, we (host-Doug, Anders and I) took a day trip to Plum Island, Massachusetts ( a small barrier island just off the extreme northeast coast of Massachusetts)

The beach was very beautiful from the car yet the photographic elements that lured me out of the warm and dry comforts with my camera was the muted blues in the skies and the seas along with the course brown grains of sands. I was cold yet I am happy that I did. It was a short term inconvenience for the long term memory with good friends.

On this day it was cold and dank with periodic rain that eventually turned torrential. Unfortunately for the residents on this island it created flooded roads, beach erosion and a few house lost to this erosion.

tip

While photographing during cold and wet weather, dress warmly 

and protect yourself and your equipment from these elements. 

If you know in advance of the weather conditions, bring all related gear  

and error on the side of having rather that not having what you need.
