THANK YOU! - DAY (-1)

DAY (-1)

I would like to Thank those of you who attended last night,
making the opening to the gallery a huge success. I would
like to acknowledge Neil and Phantom Gallery L.A./L.B.
for giving me this amazing opportunity. Especially "Thank You!" to
Denise, Anders, Scott, Sister Mena, Latoya, and  Jade for all
the prep work, keeping me sane, making me laugh, thus allowing
me to concentrate on my work and getting me to the opening
w/o stress. Its been an interesting journey and I owe a lot of the
success to you all, we are a "Great Team!" Finally, thanks to those
that supported me from afar and those unable to make it out.

"Be inspired by what inspired you initially" Darnell Bates

Every now and again you should go back to
the moment (in my case photographic images)
that inspired you to pursue that in which makes
you happy.
------------------------------------
The image above was taken some where along the Bonneville Salt Flats many many years ago as my olde roommate (Steve) and I drove from Oakland to Cleveland. The purpose of the trip was to spend time with him before he departed for an extended stay in Ghana. We laugh and had the greatest time on this trip. After capturing this image, it changed the way I thought about my photography and challenged me to capture the feeling and moment along with the image. This was the photograph that made me happy, made me think of calm and relaxing times, and eventually made me enroll into a photography program.

Yes, I am! and it extends from my heart into my photography. While in the calm beauty of nature, I wish for nature to be this simple and beautiful forever and I strive for the same.
Be Good to Yourself and Others
